EAR WAX REMOVAL FROM ONLY £40 (1 EAR) OR £60 (2 EARS)
Using the latest technology, our audiologists can quickly, safely and effectively remove any ear wax that might be causing you problems, such as: hearing loss, earache, tinnitus or vertigo.
What might be the problem? Your ear canal is blocked and this may be causing some deafness. Hard earwax can also cause blockage. The ear canal is the passage that runs from your ear to the eardrum - this part of the ear is called the outer ear. The canal is about 2cm or 3/4 inch long. The blockage has stopped us looking deep into your ear canal and it may be causing your deafness or other ear troubles. The ear canal is narrow and curved and can be easily blocked with wax, dead skin or sometimes by infection. With infection, the skin that lines the ear canal often becomes swollen and sore. A bad blockage will make the hearing go dull.

WE LOVE WAX
Microsuction Earwax Removal
Micro-suction earwax removal is undertaken using a microscope and a medical suction device, hence the term micro-suction. A very thin wand type fitting is fitted to the end of the suction tube which allows the professional to gently remove the earwax from your canal. Usually micro suction does not need pre-treatment with drops, however, two days of Earol (clinically treated olive oil) is the best preparation. An audiologist will examine your ear using a binaural microscope (either fixed or with loupes glasses). Using the fine low pressure suction device, safely remove the blockage. Also, using a video otoscope they will show you the condition of the ear before and after the treatment.
Why micro-suction?
Microsuction is the safest and most comfortable method of earwax removal, no liquids are used during the procedure. Which means that there is no fuss or mess during the procedure. The fact that we can clearly see the ear canal and more importantly exactly what we are doing, makes it an exceptionally safe procedure. It is an especially comfortable process and it is usually undertaken in a few minutes making it a same day service.

Irrigation Earwax Removal
Ear wax removal by irrigation replaces the old-fashioned technique of ear syringing. It is a generally safer and more effective method of ear cleaning. It uses an electronic ear irrigation machine to remove ear wax. The machine contains a storage reservoir unit for water and a hand-held nozzle which gently pumps water into the ear canal at a controlled and steady rate. The water breaks down and dislodges the ear wax build-up, it then flushes the ear wax out of the canal and it is captured in a flask called a noots tank.
Not everyone is suitable for earwax removal by irrigation, not all our clinics offer irrigation ear wax removal, however they all offer you microsuction earwax removal. Irrigation is an exceptionally safe and comfortable method of earwax removal. The use of liquid ensures that the ear is washed completely clean. Most people find it a comfortable process and it is usually undertaken in about thirty minutes making it a same day service.
